Shikakai & Aritha Ayurvedic Shampoo Bar is a return to an ancient, gentler way of cleansing for sensitive scalps and hair stripped by harsh detergents.
A squeaky-clean feeling often comes from sulfates that strip hair and scalp of their natural oils, leading to dryness and dullness. For centuries in Ayurvedic tradition, the pods of the shikakai and aritha (soapnut) plants have been used as nature's original shampoo. Naturally rich in saponins, they create a soft, creamy lather that cleanses away dirt and oil without disrupting the scalp's balance. Made with organic oils, this handcrafted 4-ounce bar leaves hair clean, soft and naturally shiny.
Wet hair and the bar, rub the bar onto your scalp or between your hands to build a lather, massage and rinse thoroughly. Follow with conditioner. Keep the bar dry on a draining dish between uses. Net weight 4 ounces.
